Our Coaching Staff

Jackson Sorensen

Head Coach

I am Coach Jackson! I have been coaching speed swimming for over a decade and love every minute of it. My goals as a coach are to be a part of the community that will help grow these young athletes into strong and confident individuals. I joined swimming when I was 10 years old and competed as a summer swimmer for 8 years. I always look to push myself and my program to be the very best that it can be for the sake of the swimmers. Please feel free to approach me at the pool and ask me any questions you may have. See you on deck!

Sydney Kenke

Assistant Coach

I’m coach Sydney! I joined the Tritons as a swimmer when I was 11 and swam competitively for 7 years. During my swimming career I competed at provincials, BC Summer Games, and nationals, as well as volunteered as a coach for the elementary school swim program available at the time. In 2024, I graduated from UBC with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Animal Biology, however since Spring 2025 I found myself back with the Tritons this time as a coach! Just as my coach had done for me, I strive to develop discipline, resilience, and confidence in young athletes both in the sport and as skills that can be carried into everyday life. I’m excited to see everyone at the pool!

Greg Parsons

Volunteer Coach

I’m Coach Greg! I started my swimming career with the Tritons back in 1995. After moving to Calgary at 10, I swam for the University of Calgary Dino’s until 2005. I got to swim for team Canada at Jr. Nationals in Montreal and spent the next 15 years coaching athletes to provincial and national level meets for the Dino’s, honing my skills as a coach along the way. My coaching career culminated in running one of the largest developmental programs in the country, specializing in swimmers aged 8-12. Life has planted me back in Cranbrook and I am excited for the opportunity to coach for the club I started swimming for back in the 90’s. Go Tritons Go!
