This group will continue to build on basic skills learned in the Non-Competitive Program. Prior to entrance into this group, swimmers must be able to swim 150 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, 75 Breaststroke, 25 Butterfly and 100 Individual Medley

*Group 2 is a pre-requisite for the Development Group, or subject to coaches assessment

This is a program for swimmers who wish to continue to develop all competitive strokes, starts, turns and are working towards a sub 4 minute 200 Individual Medley & 200 Freestyle. They will compete locally with opportunities for a few travel meets at the coaches discretion

Season: September - June

- Term 1, September 2024-December 2024

- Term 2, January 2025 - March 2025

- Term 3, April 2025-June 2025

Swimmers attend 5 – 60-minute swim sessions per week

• Monday and Wednesday from 530 - 6:30pm

• Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 - 5:30

• Friday from 5:00 - 6:00pm

Cost: $150 monthly fee for 2024/2025 season

Annual Swim BC fee¹ - Competitive  - $163

$100 Volunteer Fee (per family)²

¹All swimmers must register with swim BC regardless of level. Swimmers can attend sanctioned swim meets, and an additional Swim BC levy will apply. Swim BC fees are non-refundable.

²The fee will be refunded at the end of the swim season, if a parent signs up and fulfills any of the following activities:

• Work 2 sessions at both our home swim meets

• Hold a Board position

• Organize fundraising for the club

Prior to entrance into this program, swimmers should have achieved or be close to achieving a sub 4 minute 200 Individual Medley & 200 Freestyle.

The main emphasis of the group is to still pursue the proper technique but in a more competitive environment. Evaluation and monitoring process (testing) will be applied. All swimming strokes will be trained as the main focus will be 200 Individual Medley & 400 Freestyle. Swimmers should be setting goals towards attaining Provincial Standard times. They will compete at all regional meets and are encouraged to attend meets that they qualify.

Swimmers attend 7 – 60-90 minute swim sessions per week

• Monday & Wednesday Swimming  5:30pm - 7:00pm

• Tuesday and Thursdays Dryland 3:45 - 4:30 & Swimming 4:30 - 5:30

• Wednesday and Friday mornings (to begin in October) - 6:30-7:30am

• Saturday from 9:00am - 10:00am

Cost: $220 monthly fee for 2024/2025 Season
